Queen d’Eclipse SC

CASSINI I x LUIGI D’ECLIPSE

2024

Queen d’Eclipse SC, is a particularly meaningful young mare for South Corner. Born in 2024, she is the first foal bred by South Corner and is by Cassini I out of Championess, by Luigi d’Eclipse and Diamant de Semilly. Cassini I combined an international Grand Prix career with an exceptional breeding legacy. At the 2006 World Championships, his son Cumano won individual gold, while Berlin helped secure team gold.

Championess contributes an equally compelling maternal foundation. Her sire Luigi d’Eclipse won the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Maastricht, while her dam, Doris Day van Overis, has already produced the 1.60m performers Mateo van Overis Z and Wathnan Charly Brown. Championess herself is being carefully developed in South Corner’s sport programme, adding her own athleticism, scope and careful technique to this proven family.

As South Corner’s first home-bred filly, Queen d’Eclipse SC holds a special place in the programme. Her early development has reinforced the promise of this carefully selected cross, and she is being given the time to mature naturally. With her exceptional pedigree and importance as a female representative of the family, Queen d’Eclipse SC is an exciting prospect for both international sport and future breeding.
