Quebec Odeveld
I’M SPECIAL DE MUZE x FIRENZE ODEVELD
2016
BWP
Quebec Odeveld represents one of the most celebrated maternal families in Belgian showjumping. The 2016 BWP mare is by I’m Special de Muze out of Firenze Odeveld, by Querlybet Hero. Her pedigree brings together the exceptional genetics of Emerald, Walnut de Muze, Baloubet du Rouet and For Pleasure, while tracing directly to Cordula de Laubry—the foundation mare of the influential BWP dam line 22.
The strength of this family is reflected at the highest level of the sport. Quebec’s maternal half-brother Odense Odeveld competed at 1.65m, won internationally at CSI4* 1.50m level and qualified for the individual final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with Emanuele Camilli. The immediate family also includes Jericho Odeveld at 1.45m, Reykjavik Odeveld at 1.40m and numerous Grand Prix horses descending from Cordula de Laubry. Quebec herself gained valuable competition experience up to 1.15m.
Now a key mare within South Corner’s breeding programme, Quebec is valued for the rare concentration of proven performance genetics she carries. Through carefully selected combinations, the aim is to preserve the power, reflexes and competitive qualities of this exceptional family for the next generation. Quebec embodies South Corner’s long-term vision: breeding future sport horses from mares whose bloodlines have already proven themselves on the world stage.
